Fortunately for me, I managed to secure a Media Pass from the organizers for the event, and so I was able to position myself on-court for these shots. Unfortunately for me, my 70-200 2.8 lens was still being repaired so I had to (literally) beg an officemate of mine to lend me his 70-200 L f/4. But the really sad part of the experience was getting an "error-99" message on my SLR, right at the end of Day 1. Because of that, I only managed to take shots from the action that day. Just to make sure that I don't confuse anyone, there are two Hiltons here - the one in Petaling Jaya (where I'm surrently staying), and another one in Kuala Lumpur, near the KL Sentral Terminal. I was expecting the worst from the hotel when I arrived in Malaysia, having read very negative feedback about it on a website for travellers. Fortunately, not all my expectations were realized. For starters, as you enter the lobby (provided that it isn't packed with people on group tours, like the one that greeted me on my arrival last Saturday, Nov 25), you will be pleasantly delighted by how things look.
